On a Sunday afternoon in March, I had a couple of friends visiting from Dublin and we decided to visit the Anella Olímpica known as the Olympic Ring. This was the first Olympic site I have ever seen, I also had the opportunity to view the Olympic Village in Munich, Germany later in the month of March. The Olympic Ring is an Olympic Park located in the hill of Montjuïc, Barcelona. The Anella Olímpica was the main site for the 1992 Summer Olympics hosted by Barcelona. The major facilities in the Olympic Park include: the Olympic Stadium, the Palau Sant Jordi, teh telecommunications tower, the National Physical Education Physical Institute (INEFC) and the Picornell swimming pools. After walking through the Olympic Park, I was extremely impressed with the structures and architecture throughout the Anella Olímpica.
Where we began our journey at, the Museu Olyimpic I De L'Esport.
Footprints of two famous Spaniards, Pau Gasol and Rafael Nadal.
The world famous footprint of Lance Armstrong.
One of the best tennis players in the world, Roger Ferderer. The 1992 Summer Olympics were the first Olympics, that professional athlete were allowed to represent their country.
